The TalkAround Website Explained

All pages begin with a list of navigation links, each with their own shortcut keystroke. These are followed by an option to join the announcements Email list. This notifies recipients of any new developments, including the posting date of each month's edition. On each page you will find a link to the help section, this gives an in-depth explanation of each area within the site. The next link adds Talk Around to your favourites list, making access to the website as quick and easy as possible

This page describes briefly the Talk Around website, as well as providing a rundown of all the latest happenings within the magazine.

About Us

Here, you can read a pocket history of the project. Also, we introduce you to the Talk Around team. Contact details for each contributor can be found on the page headed, (contact us).

Register

On this page, a simple and straightforward web form allows anyone to become a Talk Around recipient. The comments field, While open to feedback of any sort, particularly enables audio enthusiasts to get involved.

Noticeboard

This section of the website gives absolutely anyone the opportunity to place a notice on the board. Simply fill out the form provided and, after it has been emailed to the editor for approval, it will be placed on this page for everyone to see. This is the ideal way to publicise a relevant event or a request of some sort.

Listening Library

This is the area in which you can listen to each months Talk Around on line. Members of the Email list will be notified of the date on which each edition is uploaded. Space dependant, we also have a collection of archived pieces, not just from Talk Around's current incarnation but, also dating right back to 1995. This section of the site is developing all the time, however, all changes to format etc will be posted on the news section situated on our homepage.

Discussion Forum

You can have your say by using our brand new discussion forum. Choose from a preset range of categories, create a topic or post a message on any of the existing ones. Anyone can view discussions, however, to post you must register. Doing this couldn't be easier. Simply fill out the form provided and you will receive a username and randomly selected password. You can change this password on your next visit to the board.

This section contains links to all the websites mentioned on Talk Around along with many more. There are a number of categories, all with their own headings. If you wish to suggest a link for this page, please do so by filling out the feedback form. This section changes constantly so remember to check it regularly.

Contact Us

Here you will find a list of contact details for each member of the team, as well as general contact information for the Magazine itself.

At the bottom of each page, after the main text, there are a number of features. You can search the site, using the google search engine. Everyone is encouraged to use the next link to fill out our feedback form. Information entered here will be viewed by the editor only. If you need larger text, or prefer an alternative set of colours, please use the link to our customisation page. Each page ends with a statement of the Talk Around website's triple A conformance, a sentence containing when the site was last updated and an option to Email the web developer, Stuart Gray.
